The US-Israel war against Iran has entered its seventh devastating day with no signs of a ceasefire as the conflict continues to spread across the entire Middle East region. Major new developments have emerged overnight as Israel announces plans for two more weeks of strikes while chaos grips Beirut.


Israel Plans 2 More Weeks of Strikes

The Israeli military is planning for at least one or two more weeks of operations against Iran, during which it aims to hit thousands more Iranian regime targets. Israel's goal is a systematic degradation of the Iranian regime and its military sites. The Israeli Air Force claims it has dropped more than 5,000 bombs this week. The scale of destruction is unprecedented in modern Middle East warfare.


Beirut Evacuation — Half a Million People Flee

Israel's prior evacuation order for nearly all of southern Beirut, believed to house more than half a million people, raised fears to a new level. Tens of thousands of residents jammed roads trying to flee the area as Israeli strikes targeted Hezbollah positions across Lebanon's capital. The humanitarian situation in Beirut is rapidly deteriorating as hospitals struggle to cope with the rising number of casualties.


Iran Launches Massive Drone and Missile Attacks

According to data compiled by the Institute for National Security Studies in Israel, Iran has launched 941 drones, 189 ballistic missiles and 8 cruise missiles at the UAE since the war began on Saturday. The vast majority of the weapons have been intercepted. Gulf nations including Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain continue to intercept Iranian attacks daily.

Trump Demands Role in Choosing Iran's Next Leader

In a stunning political development, US President Donald Trump has declared that he must have a role in choosing Iran's next supreme leader. Iran's 88-member Assembly of Experts is close to picking a new supreme leader to replace Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with his son Mojtaba Khamenei having emerged as a likely successor.  Trump's demand has been strongly rejected by Iranian officials.


US Military — "Just Getting Started"

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declared that the US military is just getting started in the Iran war. Hegseth announced that the US Air Force will have uncontested air supremacy of Iranian airspace within days, and that Iran's military capabilities are "evaporating by the hour" due to constant US and Israeli strikes. 

Canada Cannot Rule Out Military Involvement

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney could not rule out the Canadian military ever becoming involved in the conflict, saying "one can never categorically rule out participation. We will stand by our allies when it makes sense. Australia's PM also called for de-escalation and urged Iran to cease spreading its attacks.


Oil Prices Surge — Global Economy Under Pressure

US stocks slid on Thursday, and the price of oil continued to climb amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East. After a relatively calm trading session on Wednesday, the price of US crude oil shot higher by more than 8% on Thursday, briefly rising as high as $82 per barrel. Economists warn that sustained high oil prices could push the global economy toward recession.
