Bank Holiday Today — 18 Cities Affected

Banks are closed in 18 regions on March 4, 2026 for Holi, Dhuleti, Dol Jatra, and Yaosang celebrations. The affected cities are Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Itanagar, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, and Shimla.


If you live in any of these cities, your bank branch will be closed today. However, ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking services remain fully operational. You can still transfer money, pay bills, and do all other transactions online without any interruption.


Delhi Metro — Late Start Today

Delhi Metro services will begin late today on account of Holi. On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, train operations on all lines will start at 2:30 PM.  After the delayed start, services will function normally for the rest of the day. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and avoid the metro during morning hours today.
